Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! This October I am running the Chicago Marathon. As a pediatric ER nurse of 7 years, I'm honored to participate on behalf of Endure to Cure Pediatric Cancer Foundation (E2C). My inspiration for training and finishing the 26.2 miles comes from children who are fighting cancer each and every day. It is both a professional privilege and personal passion to care for and positively impact these young lives.
E2C's programs include Small Miracles and Travel for Treatment Assistance, both of which serve children in cancer treatment and their families. The first keeps spirits high through uplifting gifts and experiences. The latter helps cover immediate and uninsurable out-of-pocket expenses that treatments entail (i.e. transportation, meals, and lodging).
Each year in the U.S. alone, nearly 15,000 children will receive this diagnosis. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will help ease its emotional and financial impacts.
Thank you for getting me one step closer to the starting line, and helping my patients and me keep running the race against pediatric cancer.
